New message creation/edition
Messages can be sent to several recipient concurrently. The look up of contacts
of the message recipients is done using a search box:
- Use the search box the look up for contacts. You can search phone numbers, fax numbers,
Contact names, emails, and many other. You can also enter email that are not registered
in your contacts database.
- The search is triggered just by simply typping in the search text box. The possible
results appear in an options box bellow allowing you to select the recipients you
where looking for.
- Search can also return groups. Groups are formed automatically. For example you
have groups for each:
- Contact Porfile
- Area of interest
- Business area
- Product
- Project
Group contact can be viewed in detail when added to the message recipients and you
can even remove some recipients of the group for the message you're entering.
Following are the message subject and content. Use the text editor to compose your
message.
To help you compose the message you'll have access to a bar on the right side of
the message content box with:
- Customization tags
- Communication models
The Customization tags allow you to insert specific elements inside the message
content and subject that will allow you to personalize your message with information
about your contacts. Communication models help give you some tools to enter imediatly
communication models that you define in the Content Library.
To include models from this bar, you can click on top of the content title to preview
it or just add it imediatly to the content of the message.
Note that by adding a model to the content of the message all the previous text you
had entered will be replaced with the model content.
SMS messages
When sending SMS messages the traditional content text box with the text editor
will be replaced with a simpler one. This text box will be limited to 160 character.
Message profile
User can determine a profile to each message. This will catalog the message and
allow other users to view them in their context.
Follow up
To all messages a follow up can be determined.
When following up on a message the new one will automatically be related to the
previous message. This will determine the communications flow of a group of messages.
To help the user keep track of the messages followup process, when entering a new
message he can add a followup date. This will generate an alert when the followup
date is reached. User can also enter some comments about the need to followp on
the message.
User can determine that the followup will be done by other users or group of users.
The message followup alerts can be postponed or canceled.
