Contacts Configurations
Contacts are organized in profiles and can be added Areas of interest and Business
Areas. Configuring contacts will let you setup these items.
Contact Profiles
Contact profiles let you determine the structure of your contacts information in
your database.
This way, user will be able to:
- Determine unlimited contact profiles
- Independent information structure for each contact profile
- Add sub-profiles to each contact profile
- Independent information structure for each contact sub-profile
Contact profile list
Accessing the menu option for the contacts profile menu will give you the list of
profiles already created. You'll be able to see, for each profile, the number of
contacts associated with it.
On the top of the list you'll find the button to create a new contact profile.
Creating a new Profile
When creating a new contact profile you'll have to enter a title for it, which will
in turn appear on the contacts menu, and choose the field you'll need for contacts
associated with this profile. For each field you choose you can determine if it
will be a mandatory field and you can even edit the label of the field and other
properties that vary depending on the field type. To speed up the process of choosing
fields you have shortcut both on the top and bottom of the fields list which allow
you to choose:
- All fields
- No fields
- All mandatory
- All non mandatory
If the fields available on your default list are not enough you can add extra custom
fields. These fields can be of many diferent types and you can add as many as you
need. The custom fields you enter, will be available to other contact profiles you
create next.
Contact Profile Detail
Accessing the contact profile details will show you all the information you need
to know about the profile.
Each contact profile details page has the following tabs:
- Profile
- Sub-profile
- Import data
Sub-profiles
In the sub-profiles tab the user will be shown all the sub-profiles created for
the profile you're viewing. You'll be able to add extra sub-contact profiles ou
view each in detail.
Areas of interest
Determining Areas of Interest will allow you to colect information from your contacts
and send communications for contacts who share a common area of interest.
Business areas
Business areas follow the same principal as the areas of interest.
